Mahfud Ensures His Duties As Coordinating Minister For Political, Legal And Security Affairs Are Not Disturbed During The Presidential Election Campaign

JAKARTA - Vice President Mahfud MD ensured that his work as coordinating minister for politics, law and security (Menko Polhukam) was not disrupted during the 2024 Presidential Election (Pilpres) campaign. Mahfud said he remained in office during weekdays.

"I am indeed an active person. I have only campaigned for Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Apart from that, I do not use the attributes of Vice Presidential Candidates," Mahfud said as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, January 3.

He continued that during his office agendas and his work as Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs continued, including related to the disposition of the letters. Mahfud guarantees that there will be no correspondence position that will have to wait more than three days.

"There is nothing here, for example, letters that I have not positioned for more than three days. Everything is going, which is routinely from the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs. That's all," said Mahfud.

Mahfud today has an office as usual at the office of the Coordinating Ministry for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat, Jakarta.

He took the time to meet reporters to provide responses and answers regarding the latest issues, including matters of election, then meetings with his staff.

Then, Mahfud visited the funeral home of the late Rizal Ramli in the South Jakarta area during the day.

After working hours, Mahfud is active as a vice presidential candidate in the Marunda area, North Jakarta, and he is scheduled to attend Christmas celebrations at the Indonesian White Candle Concert at Sarbini Hall, Semanggi, South Jakarta.
