JAKARTA - The United Development Party (PPP) dismissed Witjaksono as Deputy Chair of the Advisory Council of the PPP DPP following the declaration of support for candidate pairs number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election.

Witjaksono was also dismissed as a Kabah Party cadre. The reason is, PPP has brought the pair number 3, Ganjar Pranowo-Mahfud MD.

The chairman of the PPP DPP, Achmad Baidowi or Awiek, confirmed that his party had removed Witjaksono from the party structure.

"It's been (fired, red)" said PPP DPP chairman Achmad Baidowi or Awiek, when confirmed, Tuesday, January 2.

Awiek said that the PPP DPP did not summon Witjaksono because he had actually defected from the party's direction.

"There is no need to call, the evidence is clear, why are you being called," said the member of the East Java electoral district DPR.

"On behalf of the PPP Fighters, PPP said there. Meanwhile, PPP officially carries Ganjar-Mahfud," he continued.

Moreover, Awiek added, Witjaksono has never contributed to the PPP victory. Because he only joined one year ago.

"(So) No need to be called, he has never helped PPP in the election, because he only joined a year ago," said Awiek.

Previously, a number of cadres of the United Development Party (PPP) calling themselves PPP Fighters declared support for the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair number 2, Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka in the 2024 presidential election at the Ambhara Hotel, South Jakarta, Thursday, December 28.

The National Coordinator of PPP Fighters who is also the Deputy Chair of the PPP DPP Advisory Council, Witjaksono, said that he and a number of legislative candidates (caleg) and PPP DPP administrators supported Prabowo-Gibran after hearing the aspirations of the community after yesterday's presidential and vice presidential debate. Witjaksono is optimistic that the candidate pair number 2 will win the 2024 presidential election contestation in just one round.

"After we saw twice the vice presidential candidate debate yesterday, and saw the aspirations that have been collected in the community directly, that we from PPP from young people, kiai, ulama, from many stakeholders in PPP, stated that we support through the PPP Fighters movement to win Prabowo-Gibran once in a round," said Witjaksono in Jakarta, Thursday, December 28.

The General Chair (Ketum) of the Nahdlatul Ulama Fisherman's Union (SNNU) admitted that he had coordinated with all stakeholders at PPP. He claimed that currently there are around 30 legislative candidates from the DPR and DPRD elements as well as 17 DPP administrators and the assembly that defected to support Prabowo-Gibran.

Witjaksono is even ready if he has to be sanctioned by the Acting Chair of PPP, Muhamad Mardiono.

"I am ready to accept all sanctions if indeed the party imposes sanctions on us, but we only convey our aspirations from below, that we from PPP fighters, God willing, will win Mr. Prabowo and Mr. Gibran for one round," he said.
