ICRC Survey: Perindo The Only Non-Parliamentary Party Potentially Escapes 4 Percent Threshold In The 2024 Legislative Election

JAKARTA - The Cipta Research and Consulting (ICRC) survey institute released a poll on the electability of political parties ahead of the 2024 General Election.

ICRC Executive Director Hadi Suprapto Rusli explained that the survey results show that the Perindo Party is the only non-parlementary party for the 2019-2024 period that has the potential to pass the parliamentary threshold in the 2024 election.

"Perindo can be a dark horse that can enliven the formation of parliamentary parties in 2024," Hadi said in a survey presentation, Sunday, December 31.

Meanwhile, in the ICRC survey last November 2023, there were two parties, namely PSI and Perindo, which were predicted to pass the parliamentary threshold in the DPR RI.

However, a survey conducted with telesurvey methodology on December 20-26, 2023 yesterday, the ICRC obtained new findings.

"In early November, PSI was predicted to pass PT if the positive trend continued, unfortunately the figure was still stagnant at around 2.5 percent, in approximately 40 days it was difficult to pass the parliamentary threshold," explained Hadi.

Based on open questions regarding party choices, PDIP still holds the highest electability with 19.1 percent of respondents' support.

After that, Gerindra was supported by 17.4 percent, Golkar 10.2 percent, PKS 8.6 percent, PKB 8.2 percent, NasDem 7.1 percent, Democrat 5 percent, PAN 4.8 percent, Perindo, 4.6 percent, PPP 4.3 percent, PSI 2.5 percent, Hanura 1 percent, Gelora 0.4 percent, PKN 0.8 percent, PBB 0.1 percent, Labor Party 0.1 percent, Ummat Party 0.0 percent, and Garuda Party 0.0 percent.

Broadly speaking, parties that are predicted to qualify for Senayan in the 2024 election are PDIP, Gerindra, Golkar, PKS, PKB, Nasdem, Democrats, PAN, Perindo, PPP because they meet the PT threshold, which is above 4 percent.

For information, this survey was conducted in the period 20-26 December 2023 with telephone interviews with 1,230 respondents. The survey population is Indonesian citizens who already have the right to vote in the 2024 General Election.

The sampling method used is stratified random sampling. This survey has a margin of error of 2.79 percent with a confidence level of 95 percent.
