Muhaimin: Farmers Have Been Ignored For Decades, If AMIN Wins Food Fate Rescued

JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate number 1 Muhaimin Iskandar said that if the presidential and vice presidential candidate pair Anies Baswedan-MuhaiminIskandar (AMIN) won the 2024 presidential election, then domestic food needs would be safe and farmers would prosper.

"Everyone witnessed that the problem of farmers for decades has been ignored and ignored," said Muhaimin as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 30.

According to Muhaimin, if the candidate pair AMIN wins in the presidential election contest, then he and Anies Baswedan will bring about changes, including food problems in Indonesia, which are currently still a problem.

He mentioned that the food problems that occur in Indonesia are not only upstream or downstream, but also downstream. Thus, this problem makes the price of food needs often uncertainty every year.

Therefore, Muhaimin ensured that the availability of domestic food could be sufficient without having to continue to import from abroad.

"We are ready to reduce imports as small as possible and provide farmers with the best prices. AMIN 2024 wants to win in order to save the fate of our food," said the man who is familiarly called Cak Imin during a campaign in Madiun, East Java.

He said the problems faced by farmers, breeders, and fishermen in the regions had occurred a long time ago. However, until now there has been no serious side of the Government to deal with these problems.

The candidate pair of AMIN is also trying to get the agricultural sector to be in demand again by young people, by way of farmers being able to save and make a profit.

"There should no longer be omission by the government, such as fertilizer problems, diesel, cheap prices from yields, irrigation; everything is always repeated for decades and the government lets it appear as if nothing has happened. Now, it's time for there is no other way, make changes," said Muhaimin.
