Gibran Blusukan To Batu Cermin Market In Labuan Bajo

JAKARTA - Candidate for vice president number 2 Girban Rakabuming Raka continues campaign activities with a blusukan to Batu Cermin Market, Komodo District, Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).

Gibran, who was accompanied by his wife Selvi Ananda, also bought various kinds of merchandise such as vegetables, garlic, and shallots.

When he arrived at the market, the eldest son of President Joko Widodo was immediately surrounded by local residents and traders. They were scrambling for pictures and shaking hands. In addition, Gibran also distributed books to children.

A resident of Sernaru, Lasti Bugis, said that he did not expect to see firsthand the figure he supports in the 2024 presidential election. According to him, Gibran is a young person who is close to the people.

"He's a populist and intelligent young man. The proof is that he can bring Solo forward. I'm sure Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran won," said Lasti as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, December 30.

One of the residents of Batu Cermin, Maria Goretimeo, said that the people of Labuan Bajo believed that Prabowo-Girban could continue the struggle of President Joko Widodo in improving the people's welfare.

Therefore, he hopes that the pair must win big in the 2024 presidential election.

"Mr. Jokowi has had a lot of kindness to us. There are PKH, basic food assistance, and many more. So we support Pak Prabowo and Mas Gibran to continue. I'm sure they won," he said.

Gibran, who is still active as Mayor of Surakarta, took time off while campaigning in NTT.
