Regrets That Indra Charismiadji Was Detained, The AMIN National Team Uploaded The Attorney General's Order Regarding The Suspension Of Cases During The Election

JAKARTA - Head of the Anies-Muhaimin (AMIN) National Legal Team Ari Yusuf Amir regretted the actions of the East Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari) in detaining the AMIN National Team Spokesperson Indra Charismiadji due to the alleged tax evasion case.

This is because this detention did not comply with the order of Attorney General ST Burhanuddin who instructed him to postpone the process of examining cases that dragged all participants of the 2024 General Election.

"It was conveyed by the Attorney General at that time. So, all legislative candidates, presidential and vice-presidential candidates, who entered the contestation, all legal cases were suspended until the election was over. Meanwhile, at the level, Kajari did not know that the Attorney General's orders were like this. This is what we regret," Ari told reporters, Thursday, December 28.

On that basis, Ari said that the legal team of the AMIN National Team sent a letter to the East Jakarta Kejari with a copy to the Head of the DKI High Prosecutor's Office and the Indonesian Attorney General's Office so that Indra's detention was suspended.

"We have submitted a letter of suspension of detention, we have also provided a guarantor, hopefully this can be handled properly," explained Ari.

For information, the East Jakarta District Attorney (Kejari) officially detained the spokesman for the AMIN National Team, Nurindra B. Charismiadji, at the Cipinang Detention Center on suspicion of tax evasion.

"Suspect Nurindra B Charismiadji is being held at the Cipinang Detention Center based on the Prosecution Level Order of the Head of the East Jakarta District Attorney Number: PRINT-25 /M.1.13 / Ft.2 / 12/2023 dated 27 December 2023," said Acting Head of the Intelligence Section of the East Jakarta Kejari Mahfuddin in his statement.

Indra and another suspect, Ike Andriani, were detained for 20 days from Wednesday, December 27, 2023 to Monday, January 15, 2024.

In this case, Indra as the owner or controller of PT Luki Mandiri Indonesia Raya, together with the suspect Ike Andriani as the Manager or Controller of PT Luki Mandiri Indonesia Raya.

In January 2019 - December 2019 it was suspected of committing Tax Crimes and Money Laundering Crimes by intentionally not submitting a VAT period notification letter or intentionally not depositing VAT that had been collected into the state treasury, causing losses to state revenues amounting to Rp1,103,028,418.

Meanwhile, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin has issued instructions for postponing the examination of legislative and executive candidates until the completion of the 2024 General Election is a decision.

The goal is to anticipate hidden intentions that are 'black campaign' and have the potential to become an obstacle to the creation of elections in accordance with the principles and provisions of legislation.

"This is done to anticipate the use of the law enforcement process as a practical political tool by certain parties," said Burhanuddin, quoted from an official statement, August 20.
