Check The Kalikangkung SAR Command Post, Kabasarnas Update On The Cikampek Toll Road To Semarang Relatively Loose

Head of Basarnas (Kabasarnas) Marshal TNI Kusworo checked the alertness of the integrated SAR post at the Kalikangkung Semarang toll gate, Thursday, December 28.

The post was operated during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays.

Kusworo's visit began with monitoring the flow of traffic using helicopters ranging from the Cikampek toll road to the Kalikangkung gate.

According to him, the flow of vehicles along toll roads ranging from Cikampek to Semarang is relatively loose.

He explained that monitoring efforts had been carried out using CCTV owned by PT Jasa Marga.

"Mmucilkan pemantauan sehingga dapat segera dilakukan antisipasi jika terjadi kemacetan atau kecelakaan," katanya, disitat Antara.

He also appealed to the public to anticipate the weather anomaly that occurred.

"Basarnas anticipates this changing weather condition," he added.

In general, he continued, prominent events that were of concern to Basarnas were still related to events at sea.

He said there were at least 10 reports of incidents every day that almost all happened at sea.

He appealed to the public to use Basarnas' 115 rescue service contact to get help immediately.

Meanwhile, the President Director of PT Jasa Marga Semarang Batang Nasrullah added that the flow of vehicles from the east that will return to the west or Jakarta at the Kalikangkung toll gate has passed its peak.

He said the flow of vehicles entering Semarang would increase again ahead of the New Year celebrations.

"The flow of vehicles returning to the west after the new year is estimated to reach its peak on January 1, 2024," he said.
