JAKARTA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo said the formation of the Cyber Crime Directorate (Dittipidsiber) in eight regional police stations had been approved by the Minister of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Minister of PAN and RB). "Strengthening the structure, there was the formation of a cyber directorate in eight regional police that was recently approved by the Menpan RB yesterday," said Sigit in a year-end release (RAT) at the National Police Headquarters, Jakarta, quoted on Thursday, December 28. Confirmed separately, the Head of Public Relations of the National Police Inspector General Sandi Nugroho said the formation of Dittipidsiber in eight Polda, namely Polda Metro Jaya, Polda North Sumatra, Polda Bali, Polda West Java, Polda East Java, Polda Central Java, Polda Central Sulawesi, and Polda Papua. According to Sandi, the letter of approval from the Menpan RB was issued on November 20, 2023. All matters concerning costs are to utilize the budget within the Police. Meanwhile, the need for employees to take advantage of employees within the National Police or other government agencies outside the National Police.
