Disrupts Train Crossings, Political Party Flags And APKs In Sleman Ordered By Bawaslu

SLEMAN - The Election Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) of Sleman Regency carried out control of dozens of campaign props (APK) and flags of political parties (parpol) installed around the railroad crossing gate. This control action was carried out together with the Satpol PP of Sleman Regency and Panwaslu, Gamping District.

The head of the Sleman Regency Bawaslu, Arjuna Al Ichsan Siregar, revealed that this control was carried out after receiving a report from PT KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta through the Yogyakarta Regional Police (Polda).

"We have arranged the APBUhan according to the report from KAI to the Yogyakarta Regional Police, which was then forwarded to Bawaslu Sleman," said Arjuna, Thursday, December 28.

According to Arjuna, dozens of APKs and political party flags were put in order, consisting of 20 flags, 10 APKs, and one banner. Reports from KAI stated that the installation of the APK and the political party flag interfered with the view of the gatekeeper.

"The APK and attached flags reportedly block the view of crossing guards while carrying out their duties, which could endanger road users in the event of delays in anticipation of crossings," added Arjuna.

The control process was carried out at four crossing gate points in the Kapanewon Gamping area, namely JPL 732 Tegalyoso Banyuraden, West Patukan Station, JPL 727 Bibit Patukan Ambarketawang, and JPL 725 Nyamplung Balecatur.

Most of the APKs that were previously put in order have been handled by Panwaslu, Gamping District and recommended to the Sleman Regency KPU to be put in order.

As for the political party flag, a persuasive approach is made to political parties so that they can control them independently. If needed, the Sleman Regency Satpol PP is ready to help control, and the patterned political party flag can be taken back at the Panwaslu Office, Gamping District.
