Missing 3 Days Iron Searcher At The Bottom Of The Jambi Batanghari River Found Dead

The joint SAR team found an iron searcher at the bottom of the Batanghari River in Jambi by diving which was reported missing. The victim was found dead.

Public Relations of the Jambi Basarnas Luthfi said the search for the victim named Piter (30) after the SAR operation was held for three days.

"Finally found the victim's body floating near the scene of the incident in the Batanghari River," he said in Jambi, Tuesday, December 26, which was confiscated by Antara.

The joint team initially conducted a search for approximately 10 kilometers from the scene of the incident in Niaso Village, Muarosebo District, Muaro Jambi Regency by ship.

However, on Tuesday at 12.20 WIB the victim's body in the name of Piter was found floating not far from the scene.

The victim's body was immediately evacuated using the KN SAR 414 ship to his family's residence on the riverbank, precisely near the Gentala Arasy Bridge.

"After the victims were evacuated to the funeral home, the joint SAR team returned to their respective units and Basarnas thanked all the elements involved in the search and evacuation process that went smoothly," he said.

Luthfi said the joint SAR team had been searching for victims who had been missing for three days while diving using traditional tools looking for iron in the Batanghari River, precisely in Niaso Village, Muarosebo District, Muaro Jambi Regency, on Sunday, December 24.

Information about the incident of the disappearance of a traditional diver while looking for iron in the Batanghari River was received by the SAR office from the Pralayan Police that a dangerous condition had occurred when a person was missing while looking for iron by diving using simple equipment.

The sinking of a traditional diver in Niaso Village, Muaro Jambi Regency on Sunday, December 24, at around 18.00 WIB. After receiving the report, Basarnas Jambi dispatched a team to the scene to carry out SAR operations.
