Bakamla RI Conducts Test Function Of 30 MM Cannon Weapons In Batam

JAKARTA - Bakamla RI, the Maritime Security Agency of the Republic of Indonesia, successfully tested the function of the 30 MM SMASH weapon on Petong Island, Batam, on Sunday 24 December. This function test was monitored directly by the Head of the Indonesian Bakamla Facilities and Infrastructure Bureau, Laksma Rudi Parulian Simorang.

This weapon has a vital role to play in improving the security of Indonesian Bakamla members during patrols in Indonesian waters.

"This weapon will function for the safety of Indonesian Bakamla members in guarding the Indonesian sea during patrols," said Laksma Rudi Parulian. Prior to the function test, Indonesian Bakamla personnel had undergone intensive training by experts and Dansatgas Colonel Bakamla Davit Hastiadi to use weapons from Aselsan-Turki in a written statement received by VOI.

Four ships were involved in this trial, namely KN Bintang Laut-401, KN Snake Laut-405, KN Sea Lion-402, and KN Belut Laut-406. The test involved Aselsan Experts, the fourth cannon driver of the Indonesian Bakamla ship, and the Surveyor Dislaikmatal Headquarters. This activity includes a test of the function of shooting targets with a distance of between 400 and 1,500 meters.

The activity took place safely and smoothly, with the presence of the Head of Planning and Ortala (Karoren) Bakamla RI Laksma Bakamla I Gusti Aswan Chandra, Director of Marine Operations (Opsla) Bakamla RI Laksma Bakamla Basri Mustari, and his staff.
