Ahead Of Christmas Eve, East Jakarta Police Deploy 180 Personnel At 8 Points Considered Vulnerable

JAKARTA - A total of 180 personnel from the East Jakarta Metro Police will be placed at 8 church security post points. This number comes from members of the Police a number of units at the East Jakarta Metro Police and each Polsek.

"For the overall security in East Jakarta, we involve 180 personnel who have been divided into 8 security posts. These eight security posts are attached to 8 large churches in East Jakarta," said East Jakarta Metro Police Chief Kombes Leo Simarmata to VOI, Sunday, December 24.

Kombes Leo explained, of the 8 security post points in 8 large churches in East Jakarta, there were dozens of joint police personnel from a number of units.

"Each security post is guarded by 20 people from the Traffic Unit, Detective, Sabhara, Provos and Polsek," he said.

In addition, Kombes Leo said that there were still security officers stationed in 4 other service posts (outside 8 security posts).

"That's what we involve in the Christmas Eve implementation," he said.

Meanwhile, the investigation of the Jibom Team Gegana Sat Brimob Polda Metro Jaya has been carried out in 5 churches in East Jakarta, namely the Coinonia church, the Santo Antonius church in Bidara Cina, Santo Yusuf in Matraman, the Kudus church in Pulogadung and the Santa Ana church in Duren Sawit.

"We have sterilized five churches. Later, a handover report will be made that this has been carried out sterilizing," he said.
