JAKARTA - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk through its subsidiary PT Jasamarga South Japek (JJS) operates the functional lane of the South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road (South Japek II) of the Sadang Segment to Kutanegara towards Jakarta which starts on Saturday from 16.15 WIB.

President Director of PT JJS Charles Lendra explained that the flow of traffic to the functional lane of the South Japek II Toll Road is currently being carried out because the volume of the Dawuan Km 66 Flats on the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, which is the point of traffic meeting from the Bandung direction which passes the Cipularang Toll Road, as well as traffic flow from the Trans Java direction which passes through the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, is observed to be high.

The functional channel for the South Japek II Toll Road is opened on the discretion of the Police. Not only that, we and the Police also monitor that there is no traffic congestion on Provincial Roads (Industrial Roads) after access is out of the functional route," Charles said in a statement received in Karawang, West Java on Saturday, quoted by Antara.

Charles said the functional lane for the South Japek II Toll Road was opened only for small/class I (nonbus) vehicles, with a maximum speed of 60 km/hour of vehicles.

The functional path of the South Japek II Toll Road is one of the alternative road users from Bandung to Jakarta who also distribute traffic.

He explained that road users from the direction of Bandung can enter the functional lane of the South Japek II Toll Road, Sadang-Kutanegara Segment through Km 77 + 100 Cipularang Toll Road.

After passing the 8.5 km functional route, road users will pass the 15-20 km non-toll road to re-enter the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road towards Jakarta via the East Karawang Toll Gate (GT) at km 54 or West Karawang GT at km 47.

The functional route for the South Jakarta-Cikampek II Toll Road, starting from SS Sadang to GT Kutanegara, is not subject to tariffs, but road users still have to tap on GT Kutanegara.

At this toll gate, road users will pay the toll tariffs for the Cipularang Toll Road and Padalarang-Cileunyi Toll Road (Padaleunyi) if they travel from toll gates on Padaleunyi Toll Road, with the same amount of tariff if the user makes a way out through GT Sadang, Cipularang Toll Road.

Charles appealed to road users who will enter this functional toll road to ensure the adequacy of vehicle fuel and electronic money balances.

"In addition, to comply with signs and directions from officers in the field. The location of the nearest gas station is 1 kilometer from the exit of this functional toll road (left turn)," he said.
