Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Increases Time Recurrence During Christmas And New Year

JAKARTA - Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Jakarta seeks to make improvements, one of which is increasing timeliness (ON-time performance/OTP) to prevent flight delays, especially during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays.

Executive General Manager of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport Colonel Nav Insan Nanjaya said that apart from OTP, there is also an additional service feature to make it easier for passengers who will fly.

"These features include the integration of the Travelin application at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport which facilitates the process of checking passenger IDs by officers using facial recognition devices, and adding officers to each section of the passenger service division," said Insan, quoted from Antara, Saturday, December 23.

Not only that, there is also strengthening the fleet of advanced modes of transportation to facilitate access to passengers from and to Halim Airport.

Halim Perdanakusuma Airport has also prepared additional flight frequencies to anticipate a surge in the number of passengers during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays.

Additional flight schedules are available for Yogyakarta (YIA), Surabaya (SUB), Palembang (PLM), Semarang (SRG) and Pangandaran (CJN) routes.

Although the atmosphere of Halim Perdanakusuma Airport on Saturday afternoon saw no accumulation of travelers, data from the Christmas and New Year's Monitoring Command Post at Halim Perdanakusuma Airport showed that the number of passengers during the 2023 Christmas and 2024 New Year holidays increased compared to normal days.

The number of passengers on Friday, December 22, reached 10,718, more than the average daily passenger of 9,000 people.
