Central Jakarta Metro Police managed to apprehend 12 suspected brawlers in the Menteng area, Central Jakarta. The perpetrators of the brawl who were arrested were adults and minors.

"Of the 12 suspects, 4 are adults and 8 are still minors," said Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Kombes Susatyo Purnomo Condro, Saturday, December 23.

As a result of the brawl, one member of the National Police became the victim of a beating. The member of the National Police also suffered injuries.

"At the time of the incident, members tried to intervene. Instead of disbanding, the brawl became more and more," he said.

From the results of checking urine tests, as many as 4 perpetrators of positive brawls used narcotics. The perpetrators carried out brawls related to narcotics that were increasingly massive. "Four brawlers in Menteng were found to be positive for Amphetamine," he said.

In addition, the Central Jakarta Metro Police also confiscated 87 sharp weapons from the results of monthly operations carried out by a number of units in the ranks of the Central Jakarta Metro Police and 8 Polsek.

A total of 12 perpetrators were charged with multiple articles, namely Article 170 of the Criminal Code and Article 214 of the Criminal Code for committing violence against officers together.
