Incomplete, Firli Bahuri's File Was Returned By The DKI Prosecutor's Office To The Metro Police

JAKARTA - The DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) has completed examining the case file for the alleged extortion of the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL, who appointed the inactive KPK chairman, Firli Bahuri, as a suspect. As a result, the research prosecutor stated that the case file was incomplete.

"After conducting research on formal and material completeness, it was concluded that the results of the investigation were not complete," said Plh. Head of the Legal Information Section of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, Herlangga Wisnu Murdianto in his statement, Friday, December 22.

That way, the research prosecutor will return the case file to the investigators of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation of the Polda Metro Jaya. So, it can be completed after the appointment.

"So that the public prosecutor will return the case file with the instructions to be completed," said Herlangga.

For information, investigators submitted Firli Bahuri's case file on December 15.

Firli Bahuri was named a suspect based on the results of the case title conducted on Wednesday, November 22.

Several pieces of evidence that became the basis for determining the suspect, namely, foreign exchange documents worth Rp7.4 billion. Then, there were also the results of the extraction of 21 cellphones.

However, Firli Bahuri has not yet been detained. Although, he is already a suspect.

In this case, Firli Bahuri was charged with Article 12 e or Article 12 B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code.
