Resigning From The Chairman Of The KPK, Firli Bahuri Talks 40 Years Of Self-Defense To The State

JAKARTA - The inactive KPK chairman Firli Bahuri spoke 40 years of his dedication to the state after submitting a letter of resignation as Chairman of the KPK.

"My dedication for 40 years, I dedicate myself to the nation of state," said Firli Bahuri according to his resignation at the ACLC KPK building, South Jakarta, Thursday, December 21.

The former head of the National Police's Security Maintenance Agency also thanked President Joko Widodo for trusting him as chairman of the KPK.

Firli also said that job as chairman of the KPK was not an easy thing. For this reason, he apologized to all Indonesian people for not being able to complete his job as chairman of the KPK.

Previously reported, Firli Bahuri resigned from his position as Chairman of the KPK. He admitted that he had written to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) through the Minister of State Secretary (Mensetneg) Pratikno.

Firli Bahuri resigned as chairman of the KPK in the midst of the trial for alleged ethical violations being held by the KPK Supervisory Board from December 20 to December 23.

The KPK Council heard Firli because of three violations allegedly committed by Firli Bahuri, the First of a meeting with former Agriculture Minister Syahrul Yasin Limpo.

The two ethical violations committed by Firli also relate to LHKPN that are not true, including debt.

Finally, an ethics trial will also be held regarding the rental of a house on Jalan Kertanegara Number 46.

Firli is suspected of violating Article 4 Paragraph 2 letter a or Article 4 paragraph 1 letter j and Article 8 of the KPK Council Regulation (Perdewas) Number 3 of 2021.
