National Police Chief Reviews Police Development Readiness At IKN

PENAJAM PASER UTARA - National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo and a number of main officials at the National Police Headquarters directly inspected the readiness to build a groundbreaking area for the construction of a resort police station (Polres) in the capital city of Nusantara (IKN), East Kalimantan.

"We want to ensure optimal preparations to maintain security and peace in this strategic area," said National Police Chief Listyo Sigit as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 20.

According to him, the visit was a form of commitment from the Indonesian Police to strengthen security in the IKN area.

"We pay special attention to the readiness of the infrastructure and facilities to be built. We want to ensure that the Polres building in IKN meets the highest standards, in terms of security and operational efficiency," he said.

The National Police Chief conveyed that the construction of Polres in the IKN area is also expected to strengthen law enforcement, optimal protection for the community, and maintain security stability.

The groundbreaking of the Police at IKN is scheduled to be inaugurated by President Joko Widodo, on Thursday (21/12).

"The success of the project is a form of the presence of the National Police in the capital city of the archipelago, and gives confidence to the public that security and peace will be well maintained," said Listyo.

The National Police Chief also expressed his gratitude to the Government and all relevant parties who have supported the development of police infrastructure in the capital city of Nusantara.

"We will continue to be committed to maintaining security and providing protection to people throughout Indonesia, including in strategic areas such as the capital city of the archipelago," he said.
