Mahfud On The Debate Of Vice President: Diligently Read Economic Issues In The Koran

JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate Mahfud MD admits that he is starting to diligently read many issues related to the economy as a form of his readiness to face the second debate for vice presidential candidates on December 22.

"Yes, it's ready, the preparation, yes, read about the economy, right, read in the paper what this talks about, oh infrastructure, oh economy, this is interest rate, this is about inflation, it's all in the paper," Mahfud said after attending the Dialogue event Diaspora NTT with Prof. Mahfud Md. in Jakarta reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 19.

Mahfud admitted that he was ready to face his two opponents in the second debate. He admitted that he was diligent in reading newspapers every day to learn more about economic issues that developed in society.

"I don't know, just because I'm ready, I don't have to know what kind of person he is," he said when asked about Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

According to him, each participant has their own talents, talents, and abilities in mastering an issue.

"So yes, I am 100 percent ready," said Mahfud.

After the inaugural debate, the presidential candidate was successfully held on Tuesday (12/12), the second debate involving the three vice presidential candidates will be held by the General Elections Commission (KPU) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) on Friday (22/12) at 19.00 WIB.

The debate will carry the theme of the economy covering the people's economy, digital economy, finance, investment, taxes, trade, management of the APBN and APBD, infrastructure, and urban affairs which will last for 120 minutes in a semi-town hall format.
