PURWOKERTO - Chairman of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep in a political safari to Purwokerto, Central Java (Central Java), asked the public to politics in a polite manner and still comply with all existing rules.
"We will continue to maintain our politeness in politics. We will continue to maintain compliance in everything in politics," Kaesang told the volunteers at the Mas Kaesang Gathering with Bumi Ngapak Raya Volunteers, in Purwokerto, reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, December 19.
The statement was made following a provocation by a group of motorcyclists carrying the PDI-P (PDIP) flag when he carried out a political safari in Pati, Central Java on Sunday (19/12).
In a video recorded by one of PSI members who witnessed the incident, the gang of motorbike riders rode a motorbike and one of them even entered the yard where the visit took place.
To residents in Purwokerto, Kaesang asked them to remain polite in politics by not being easily ignited by emotions, slandering each other, but remaining relaxed.
"You don't have to get emotional, you don't have to slander each other. It doesn't matter, the important thing is that we stay relaxed," he said.
Then, Kaesang also advised volunteers and the community to invite their friends and family to come to the polling station (TPS) and vote for them during the 2024 General Election which will be held on February 14.
"Increase the whole family, invite all relatives, invite all friends, neighbors, to come to the TPS later on February 14, 2024," he hoped.

He did not ask the public to specifically choose one of the pairs of presidential and vice presidential candidates (candidates). Instead, he stressed the importance for the public to continue to vote on their conscience.
"Let's go forward (who will vote, please, it's up to you)," he said.
Kaesang's gathering to Purwokerto is part of a series of political safaris starting from December 16 to 20, 2023 to absorb people's aspirations while attracting their support for their party so that they can enter parliament.
Since serving as PSI General Chair, Kaesang has been aggressively carrying out political safaris to a number of regions in the country.
Before going to Central Java, Kaesang also conducted a political safari to Medan, Kupang in East Nusa Tenggara, Manado in North Sulawesi, Bandung in West Java, and several other areas in Java and Jakarta.
