Airlangga Hartarto's Son Claims Jokowi Uses A Yellow Sign Of Comfort With Golkar

JAKARTA - Golkar Party politician Ravindra Airlangga said the yellow tie worn by President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) during a working visit (kunker) to Japan was a sign that the head of state was comfortable with Golkar.

"This is the code from Pak Jokowi. Usually, right, he wears another color tie, now he turns yellow. For us, the yellow party (Golkar), this is Pak Jokowi's code, showing comfort with Golkar's philosophy," Ravindra said in his statement, Monday, December 18, which was confiscated by Antara.

The son of the General Chairperson (Ketum) of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, said that the code he was referring to was getting stronger because President Jokowi has recently been frequently associated with the Golkar Party. According to him, the code often appears ahead of the momentum of the 2024 General Election.

"Friends are all following, there is a signal that young figures are close to Golkar. I think it's very good for young people to think about future development," said Ravindra.

He said his party was open to young people. According to Ravindra, the younger generation in the Golkar Party can fight with other young figures to continue the development that President Jokowi started.

"Ketum (Chairman) Golkar, right, also emphasized that the party's political direction is the sustainability of President Jokowi's development. So it's right for many young people to join Golkar," he added.

Previously, President Jokowi wore a yellow tie when he was about to leave for Japan from Halim Perdanakusuma Air Force Base, Jakarta, Saturday, December 16 morning. When asked by reporters about the meaning of the tie, the President seemed to be holding his tie and joking.

"I don't know," he said with a big smile and then left the press conference room to get to the plane.

Meanwhile, Minister of State Secretary Pratikno said the reason President Joko Widodo wore a yellow tie was because he had difficulty choosing a tie. "Earlier he told me, it was difficult to find a tie, what was just worn," said Pratikno.
