Three People Become Suspects Of Persekusi Of Minor Couples In East Lombok

East Lombok Resort Police Investigator, West Nusa Tenggara, has named three suspects in the alleged case of persecution of a underage couple.

Head of the East Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit AKP I Made Dharma Yulia Putra said one of the three suspects was still a child.

"So, from the results of the case title, three suspects were named with one of whom was still a child," Dharma said as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, December 18.

The three suspects had the initials RA, MI, and AK who were children. The roles of the three suspects in this alleged persecution case are different.

"Some recorded videos and some transferred data (videos)," he said.

The suspect charged with Article 27 paragraph (1) in conjunction with Article 45 paragraph (1) of Law Number 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law of the Republic of Indonesia Number 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions and/or Article 14 of Law Number 12 of 2022 concerning Criminal Acts of Sexual Violence.

From the determination of the suspect in this case, Dharma said that investigators had sent a summons to the suspects.

"So, there has been no detention because we have just named a suspect," he said.

This alleged case of persecution of underage lovers occurred in the Pandan Duri Dam area, East Lombok Regency.

The action was in the public spotlight after the video recording of the persecution was widely circulated on social media.

In the 6 minute 10 second video, it shows the action of a group of teenagers asking female victims to open their headscarves so that they show the victim's breasts.

The perpetrators asked the victim to do so by threatening to use sharp weapons.
