JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) invited ASEAN-Japan to implement a strategic comprehensive partnership as capital to strengthen relations amidst the current global uncertainty.

The President said the ASEAN-Japan partnership for 50 years had achieved many achievements in maintaining stability and peace, bringing the community closer, and driving regional economic growth.

This was conveyed by Jokowi in his remarks at the opening of the 50th Anniversary of the ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation Conference (KTT) which was held at The Okura Hotel, Tokyo, Japan, Sunday, December 17.

"So it must be realized in the form of concrete cooperation that is mutually beneficial and beneficial for the community, such as infrastructure funding, energy transition, digital transformation, food security, and strengthening supply chains," said Jokowi, confiscated from a press release.
