Polda Metro Delegates Former Case Of Filri Bahuri Rice SYL To The DKI Prosecutor's Office Today

Polda Metro Jaya has transferred the case file for the alleged extortion of former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL with the inactive Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Firli Bahuri, to the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office (Kejati) today, Friday 15 December.

"The investigative team has sent the case file in question to the Public Prosecutor's Office to the DKI Jakarta Prosecutor's Office (phase 1) for the research of case files," said Director of Special Criminal Investigation of the Metro Jaya Police Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak in his statement, Friday, December 15.

In the case file, it was stated the statements of 104 witnesses and 11 experts. The case file that has been received by the DKI Jakarta Attorney General's Office will immediately be investigated.

If it is complete, then, investigators will immediately carry out phase two or transfer the suspect and evidence for immediate trial.

On the other hand, the investigative team must complete its shortcomings both on the formal and material side.

"In detail, there are 4 criminal law experts, 2 procedural law experts, 1 expert or expression mikor expert, 1 multimedia expert, 1 criminologist, 1 forensic psychologist," said Ade.

Firli Bahuri was officially named a suspect based on the results of the case title conducted on Wednesday, November 22, afternoon.

In this case, Firli Bahuri is suspected of being under Article 12 e or Article 12 B or Article 11 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 65 of the Criminal Code.

Meanwhile, the DKI Jakarta Attorney General's Office has prepared four research prosecutors to examine the completeness of the case file for the alleged extortion of the former Minister of Agriculture, Syahrul Yasin Limpo, with the suspect KPK Chairman Firli Bahuri.

"Kejati DKi has prepared four research prosecutors related to the SPDP for alleged extortion of former Minister of Agriculture SYL," said Head of the Information and Law Section of the DKI Jakarta High Prosecutor's Office, Ade Sofyan.
