KRL Speed At Tebet Station Is Slowed Due To Inundation Rail

JAKARTA - KAI Commuter slowed down the Commuter Line train at Tebet Station, South Jakarta this afternoon. This is due to inundation after heavy rains.

"KAI Commuter apologizes for the operational constraints of the KRL at Lintas Manggarai - Bogor which occurred starting at 13:20 WIB due to a puddle of water on the railroad at Tebet Station", said VP Corporate Secretary KAI Commuter Anne Purba in her statement, Thursday, February 18.

As a result of several points being inundated, KRL trips at the next location were carefully arranged to run with limited speed.

"For security and safety, KRL will pass at Tebet Station with a limited speed. Therefore, currently, there are lines of trains that will pass through Tebet Station and Manggarai Station", she said.

Anne said KAI Commuter engineered the excise operation pattern at 13.50 WIB so that the situation was conducive.

Several trains from Depok/Bogor directions are arranged only to reach Pasar Minggu Station and then return to Bogor. Meanwhile, KAI Commuter is also still anticipating the trains for Bogor to pass Tebet Station.

"KAI Commuter appealed to all service users to continue to follow the direction of officers in the field. Always apply health protocols while at stations and KRL, among others by not forcing themselves to get on trains that are filled according to the markings", said Anne.

The rain that flushed Jakarta this afternoon, Thursday, February 18, flooded several streets in the capital city. The Meteorological, Climatological, and Geophysical Agency (BMKG) website provides an early warning for Jakarta's weather today. They are aware that rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds will occur in the Thousand Islands, South Jakarta, and East Jakarta in the afternoon and early morning.
