Police Name One Suspect In House Fire Incident In Kalideres That Killed An Elderly Person

The Kalideres Police have named one suspect in the burning of a house on Jalan Rawa Melati, RT 04/01, Tegal Alur Village, Kalideres, West Jakarta.

The man with the initials RH alias RD (50) was named a suspect because he was proven to have set fire to his father-in-law's house.

As a result of the burning of the house, 3 people suffered burns and 1 of them died.

Although he has been named a suspect, RH alias RD is still being treated for 58 percent burns.

Meanwhile, RI alias RY, the perpetrator's wife, received 45 percent burns. Now the perpetrator and the victim are undergoing intensive treatment at Cengkareng Hospital, West Jakarta.

"The suspect RH alias RD is threatened with criminal charges under Article 187,188 of the Criminal Code for his actions," he said.

Previously, it was reported that a residence located on Jalan Rawa Melati, RT 04/01, Tegal Alur, West Jakarta, was scorched by fire on Thursday, December 14.

One female wife of the home owner with the initials S (70) was found burned to death. Meanwhile, R (70), the owner of the house who is also S's husband, suffered minor burns.

In addition, the other husband and wife who live in the house also suffered minor burns, they had the initials RD and RY (40).

According to information gathered, the house was deliberately burned by the perpetrator with the initials RD. However, the case is still under investigation by the Police.

The fire that burned all parts of the house was successfully extinguished by 20 fire engines. A total of 60 personnel were deployed to extinguish the fire.

Head of West Jakarta Gulkarmat Sub-dept., Syafrudin, said the area due to the fire was around 60 square meters. The loss is estimated at IDR 300 million.

"The house is inhabited by 2 families with 4 people. One resident died, and 3 others suffered minor burns," he said, Thursday, December 14.
