The Case Of Suicide Of A Family Elementary School Teacher Is Still A Mystery, Malang Police Returns To TKP

The suicide case committed by a teacher at the State Elementary School 3 Sukun, Malang City, Wahaf Efendi (38), with his wife Sulikha (35) and their daughter with the initials ARE, a resident of Boro Bugis Hamlet, Saptorenggo Village, Pakis District, Malang Regency, East Java, is still in the spotlight and leaves a question mark.

The three of them were found dead in the room. His wife and child are suspected of taking liquid mosquito medicine, while Wahaf chose to end his life by slashing his left wrist.

The results of the crime scene (TKP) previously carried out by the Malang Police were again examined by the East Java Police Labfor Team to ensure the truth of these findings.

Kasatreskrim Malang Police, AKP Gandha Syah, stated that the East Java Police forensic team conducted a crime scene investigation to cross-check the initial findings when the three victims were found. In addition, the victim's blood sample was taken for examination and matching.

"The point is to reinforce and strengthen it, so it's like taking blood samples more directly, which was carried out by the East Java Regional Police's Bidlabfor," said AKP Gandha in Malang, Thursday afternoon.

Gandha emphasized that the purpose of reprocessing the crime scene was to strengthen the identification of the findings of evidence and show the seriousness of the Malang Police and the East Java Regional Police in handling this case.

Although there have been no new findings yet, authorities are still ensuring these items are tested in the laboratory.

"This only confirms identification. Of course these items must be tested by the lab. That's why the one in charge here is the East Java Regional Police Bidlabfor which has the qualifications for testing like this," he said.

According to the results of the investigation, the deaths of the three victims were believed to be suicides that were carried out together without coercion. The police have not found strong evidence of coercion against his wife and children to take liquid mosquito medicine.

"So there was no coercion at all when they committed suicide together. This is evidenced by the absence of any traces of resistance between the two victims when taking liquid mosquito medicine. It still needs to be proven related to that (force, ed). What is clear is that it is strongly suspected that this mother and child died first, followed by their father," he said.

Gandha memastikan bahwa kasus ini be most likely merupakan bunuh diri dan bukan pembunuhan. "Kalau untuk pembunuhan jauh ya. Jauh tidak ada," katanya.
