Gibran Invites Mrs. Nyai To Improve Santri's Ability

JAKARTA - Surakarta Mayor Gibran Rakabuming Raka invited Mrs. Nyai or the wife of the boarding school administrator and the taklim assembly from 13 districts to increase the ability and strength of the students to be able to compete with public education students.

Gibran also asked the students to be ready to face the industrial revolution 5.0 in accordance with the times.

"Every student in the hut must be 5.0 (tech literate)," said Gibran during a meeting with Mrs. Nyai in Solo as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 14.

Gibran hopes that Mrs. Nyai can jointly strive to improve the quality of human resources (HR) in Islamic boarding schools so that they can compete in meeting the needs of superior human resources in Indonesia in the future.

During the meeting, Gibran also thanked Mrs. Nyai for conveying input related to community issues, especially the problem of students.

"Thank you Mrs. Nyai for coming all the way to Solo and also asking Mrs. Nyai not to rush home so that she can enjoy many new destinations and activities in Solo," said Gibran.

In addition, the initiator of the Care Forum for the Taklim Assembly, Arifatun Choiri Fauzi, appreciated Gibran's presence to stay in touch with the students.

Arifatun emphasized that the meeting was a gathering between nyai and the Mayor of Surakarta, and talked about pesantren without any political campaign agenda related to the presidential election.

He also expressed Gibran's hope that the students in Islamic boarding schools could be equal to other students in general. These things are appreciated by Mrs. Nyai.

"Bu Nyai also conveyed several things to Mas Gibran, namely to continue to be enthusiastic, remember the small community, worship and alms, don't forget, and the most important thing was to pray," he said.

According to him, the central point that is a good record for mothers here is how Mas Gibran wants to prioritize the current students should also have the same skills as those outside the pesantren.
