BEKASI - Presidential Candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo will evaluate the Job Creation Law if elected as president in 2024.

"We will evaluate, if we meet entrepreneurs, meet implementers from the government, and why are all workers uncomfortable," he said during a consolidation event with workers and MSME actors at the Bekasi Regency Teacher Building, West Java, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 14.

According to Ganjar, there is something wrong with the Job Creation Law considering that a number of parties feel uncomfortable with the regulation.

"I feel like if the workers are uncomfortable, the government is uncomfortable, the entrepreneurs are uncomfortable, something is wrong," he said.

Ganjar said he would invite all stakeholders to agree to then prepare the regulations. "We can read sociological conditions first, so that we can prepare regulations," he said.

Ganjar admitted that he had also conveyed to the Indonesian Employers' Association to sit down together to review the Job Creation Law. "It feels like we have to sit down together to review whether we will use the business regime, the wage regime, or something else," he said.

Ganjar promised to fight for workers to live better, one of which was by preparing housing, ensuring access to education and health insurance.

"At that time, we pushed my practices with subsidies in transportation, we prepared housing for workers, ensured that access to education and health was guaranteed. So if these four components can, then workers will be helped," he said.
