Alexander Marwata's Examination In SYL Case Postponed Until Next Week

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Alexander Marwata was not investigated regarding the alleged extortion or acceptance of gratuities that ensnared the inactive KPK chairman Firli Bahuri today, Thursday, December 14.

Hal ini disampaikan Alexander saat dikonfirmasi terkait pemeriksaannya di Bareskrim Polri. Ia dianggil karena diajukan Firli kepada penyidik.

"(Today's examination, ed) will be postponed next week," Alexander told VOI, Thursday, December 14.

Alexander did not answer about the certainty that the day he would undergo a summons. Meanwhile, he has come to the South Jakarta District Court (PN) to be a mitigating witness in the pretrial of Firli Bahuri.

It is known, Firli filed a pretrial at the South Jakarta District Court (PN). He sued the determination of the suspect in the extortion or acceptance of gratuities from former Minister of Agriculture (Mentan) Syahrul Yasin Limpo by Polda Metro Jaya.

Previously, Karo Penmas, Police Public Relations Division, Brigadier General Ahmad Ramadhan, said that the postponement of the examination was due to Alexander Marwata's having to testify at the pretrial hearing at the South Jakarta District Court.

"Tidak jadi dilaksanakan (pemeriksaan) karena pagi atau siang ini Pak AM itu diajukan oleh saudara FB menjadi saksi dan hadir dalam sidang pretrial di Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Selatan," ujar Ramadhan saat dikonfirmasi, Kamis, 14 Desember.

Currently, it is not certain about the time of the re-examination of Alexander Marwata. This is because the joint investigation team will only communicate regarding these efforts.
