Ganjar Talks About Alternative Organic Fertilizers Amid Subsidized Scarcity, Invites Extensioners To Participate In Information

JAKARTA - Presidential Candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo assesses that using organic fertilizer is an alternative for farmers in the midst of scarcity of subsidized fertilizers.

"So that is the importance of our extension workers to be able to help," he said on the sidelines of a meeting with farmer workers and fishermen in Taman Marakas, Bekasi, West Java, Thursday, December 14, which was confiscated by Antara.

However, he stressed that his party will continue to strive so that subsidized fertilizers are easily obtained by farmers in Indonesia.

"Don't let our productivity go down because of supply problems that can't be improved," he said.

According to him, one Indonesian data specifically for agriculture must be immediately taken care of in order to facilitate the distribution of fertilizers to farmers.

"If it can be done then we know the allocation, we know how to add it and we have to know how to distribute it, because this is a subsidy item. So this is homework that we have to complete," he said.

In addition to fertilizers, Ganjar added that making reservoirs, repairing irrigation canals, including irrigation modernization, is also important.

Previously, President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) promised to add fertilizer subsidies, in order to answer farmers' complaints about the scarcity of fertilizer they experienced.
