JAKARTA - Prabowo Subianto will send the U-20 Indonesian football national team to practice at the Qatar Aspire Academy. This was conveyed by the General Chairperson of the All-Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) Erick Thohir. "Pak Prabowo wants to help our U-20 team, under coach Indra Sjafri for training in Qatar," said Erick while accompanying Prabowo to inaugurate the Garudayaksa Modern Football Academy building which he initiated in Bekasi, Thursday, December 14. Prabowo claims, Aspire Academy is one of the best academies in the world, so the delivery of the U-20 national team to Qatar is expected to bring the U20 national team to the U-20 World Cup. "This is our effort to encourage and support our football," he explained. In addition, the government is also negotiating with FIFA as the organizer of the world-class Football championship so that Indonesia will host the 2025 U-20 World Cup. "Incidentally, President Joko Widodo continues to try to draw to the U-20 World Cup organizers. We are still bidding," added Prabowo. Prabowo also asked for support for the progress of Indonesian football, because sport is one way to introduce Indonesia to the world.
