Jokowi: If The State Budget Is Sufficient, The 10 Kg Rice Social Assistance Will Continue Again

JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that if the state budget condition is sufficient, the provision of government rice reserve food assistance (CBP) can be continued from the previous plan given only until March 2024.

"We pray together for April, May, June, that the APBN is sufficient, we will continue again," said Jokowi while visiting Bulog Gadang Warehouse, Malang City, East Java, as reported by ANTARA, Thursday, December 14.

Jokowi visited Bulog Warehouse, Malang, to check the availability of rice, in addition to distributing CBP food assistance to a number of beneficiaries.

"This is the one that was received in September, October, November, December all?" asked the President to the beneficiaries.

"Yes sir," answered the recipient community simultaneously.

The CBP food aid is food assistance in the form of 10 kilograms of rice that has been distributed by the government since April 2023.

In Malang, Jokowi also ensured that the public had received direct cash assistance (BLT) El Nino. The President explained, for people who have not received BLT El Nino, assistance will be sent soon.

"Some have, some have not because this is still just a matter of weeks, just the process is out, please check someone through the post office, someone passes through the bank," he said.

Meanwhile, Yanti, one of the residents who attended the event, thanked the government for the assistance provided. He hopes that government assistance for the community can continue.

"Get the rice and the parcels containing the basic necessities, hopefully it will still exist like this," he said
