JAKARTA - Police Chief (Kapolsek) Astana Anyar, Bandung Police Commissioner (Kompol) YP was arrested along with 11 members of the National Police. They are suspected of being involved in drugs.

West Java Police Chief Inspector General Ahmad Dofiri emphasized that her party would impose sanctions. However, witnesses were given after his party conducted an examination.

"Yes, clear, so there are two choices, dismissal or criminalized. So it is very clear our actions against our members who commit violations. Yes, it can be both, depending on the mistakes later, we will see", said Ahmad Dofiri at the Bandung Police, reported by Antara, Thursday, February 18th.

According to him, this was implemented as a form of his seriousness in taking action against any member who commits an offense, including this middle-ranking female police officer.

Now, he said, Kompol YP has also been removed from her position as Kapolsek Astanaanyar. Metropolitan Police Bandung is also preparing other officers to fill the vacant position.

Also, dozens of members of the Astanaanyar Police who were suspected of being involved in drugs were threatened with sanctions similar to those of Kompol YP. Now the 12 members who were arrested are still being held by the West Java Regional Police.

According to him, this case can be a lesson for other police officers so they do not fall into consuming these prohibited items.

"This is a lesson for others because, for members who misappropriate drugs, the leadership's policy is clear", he stressed.

"The Chief of Police yesterday said that for members of the drug, there are only two choices, to be fired or criminalized", he said.
