Anies Asks Attitudes About Kanjuruhan Tragedy And KM 50, Ganjar Answers Like This

Presidential candidate (candidate) number 1, Anies Baswedan, searched for presidential candidate number 3, Ganjar Pranowo regarding the tragedy of the Kanjuruhan Stadium which killed hundreds of people and the shooting of FPI members on the Cikampek Kilometer 50 Toll Road.

In the inaugural 2024 presidential election debate held at the KPU office, Anies wanted to know Ganjar's attitude towards the two cases whose resolution was deemed not to provide justice.

"There are two events that have attracted attention and need to discuss: Kanjuruhan and KM 50, the hokum process has been carried out, but the sense of justice has not yet been carried out. There are still many questions, even the families of the victims are still questioning it. I am in a position, this must be resolved and can bring a sense of justice, not only legal. I asked Mr. Ganjar's position towards this incident," Anies asked Ganjar, Tuesday, December 12.

Ganjar replied, from the two cases, there needs to be firmness from the government. One of them is by ratifying the Law on the Truth and Reconciliation Commission (KKR).

"The chaos is that we can protect the victim and clean up justice, including KM 50, if successful, we go up one stage. Musti dare not to take this problem, we must be brave and firm. Create the KKR Law so that human rights problems can be resolved," explained Ganjar.

Anies was not satisfied with Ganjar's answer because he was considered incomprehenative. According to Anies, there are four things that need to be done, namely ensuring that the legal process results in justice, revealing the clearest facts, there must be compensation to victims, and the state must ensure that this does not repeat itself.

Ganjar again answered by emphasizing that he would not be gray in resolving legal cases.

"Regarding compression or not being comprehensive, it's subjective. I think of the four that have happened, I'm a person who is never gray. Black-and-white, sat-set. We are not people who delay, hang jobs to become commodities," he added.

In the 2024 presidential election, 5 presidential and vice presidential debates were held. The first, third, and fifth debates were specifically for presidential candidates. Meanwhile, the second and fourth debates were a special debate for vice presidential candidates.

The theme of the inaugural debate tonight raised the theme of law and human rights, government, eradication of corruption, strengthening democracy, improving public services, and harmony of citizens.

The first place of debate was created with a design that was made circularly like a stands in a football stadium. The capacity of this townhall model debate can accommodate up to 800 people.

In its implementation, the debate will last for 150 minutes. Especially the debate session lasted for 120 minutes, and the remaining 30 minutes of advertising shows. Debate is divided into six segments.
