Dealer In The Case Of "Drug Party" Sectoral Police Astana Anyar Police Commissioner YP Must Be Investigated

JAKARTA - The police have been asked to investigate the alleged involvement of a drug dealer in the "drug party" case that dragged 12 police officers including the Astana Anyar Police Chief, Bandung, West Java, Police Commissioner YP.

"Indonesia Police Watch (IPW) hopes that the case will be thoroughly investigated so that it is known whether the 12 policemen are part of a drug syndicate in West Java or just users", said IPW Presidium Chair Neta S Pane as quoted by Antara, Thursday, February 18.

Neta assessed that what the YP Police Commissioner and her colleagues were doing was a challenge for the Indonesian National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, in eradicating drugs in the country.

"Because it has undermined the heart of the police force where a female police chief has the heart to lead 11 of her men to (use) drugs together", said Neta.

Neta suspects that the party also involved drug dealers. Because, drug dealers are considered to have the potential to target or take advantage of the police as a backing for dealers and users.

This is because the money obtained from drug trafficking is fresh and tasty. And the dealers do not hesitate to give the fresh funds to the police as long as their business runs smoothly.

"Therefore, as soon as someone is indicated as being involved in drugs, they are immediately fired and directed to be subject to the death penalty. The goal is so that drugs do not become a scourge and a latent danger to the police institution", she emphasized.
