Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs (Menko Polhukam) Mahfud MD asked for the term of service of the Task Force for Handling State Collection Rights for the Bank Indonesia Liquidity Assistance Fund (BLBI Task Force) to be extended.

"Later, we will ask for the extension of this task to the President, at least until October 2024," said Mahfud Md at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 11.

Mahfud said that currently, the BLBI Task Force has three weeks remaining, and is waiting to see if there will be an extension of the decree from the President. The Task Force has so far collected IDR 34 trillion from the target of IDR 114 trillion.

"The realization is already Rp. 34 trillion, yes, from Rp. 114 trillion. We have stolen Rp. 34 trillion," he said.

Mahfud ensured that the hunt for state assets by the BLBI Task Force continued. So far, the BLBI Task Force continues to confiscate assets that are state assets.

One of them is the BLBI Task Force confiscated land and building assets in Banten worth IDR 171.68 billion.

The confiscation was carried out through the installation of security lanes on property assets of the former National Bank Restructuring Agency (BPPN) or former BLBI in the form of 85.84 hectares of land located in Bojong Village and Budi Mulya Village, Cikupa District, Tangerang Regency, Banten Province.

"The estimated value is IDR 171,681,600,000.00 based on the NJOP (Tax Object Selling Value) of the Land," said Head of the BLBI Task Force Rionald Silaban in an official statement received in Jakarta, Tuesday (17/10).

The land and building assets come from the Secured Goods Taken Over (BJDA) of the former debtor of PT Pentabinangun Sejahtera or former director of PT Bank Indonesia Raya (Bank Bira Tbk) BBKU.

The Task Force also previously confiscated the assets of Bank Asia Pacific obligors Setiawan Harjono and Hendrawan Haryono, The East Tower, which were estimated to be worth IDR 786 billion.

Head of the BLBI Task Force Rionald Silaban explained that the confiscation was in accordance with the order number SPS-03/PUPNC.10.01/2023 dated April 5, 2023 issued by PUPN DKI Jakarta Branch.

The confiscated assets included 177 flats or apartment buildings of The East Tower located on Jalan Lingkar Mega Kuningan Blok E3.2 Kav.1, Kuningan, South Jakarta. The confiscation also includes 177 flat units on it with a total area of 26,715.59 m2.
