Heru Budi Changes The Name Of The Block G Building Of DKI City Hall To Grha Ali Sadikin

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta, Heru Budi inaugurated the name of Block G Building, DKI Jakarta City Hall, to Graha Ali Sadikin on Monday 11 December. "On Monday, December 11, 2023, I hereby inaugurate Graha Ali Sadikin," said Heru Budi at DKI Jakarta City Hall, Monday, December 11. Heru's reason for changing the name of the building is to respect and appreciate the services of the 7th Governor of DKI Ali Sadikin in two terms in 1966-1977 to build DKI Jakarta Province. "The Block G building is named Grha Ali Sadikin as a form of respect for him as our predecessor, who has led DKI Jakarta Province well," said Heru. Heru hopes that the change in the name of this building will add historical value and insight to the public about the absorption of DKI Jakarta development from time to time. “Instead of writing in the lobby, it is 'Block G Building', it is better to replace it with the name “ Grha Ali Sadikin ” who is the Governor of DKI Jakarta. Better and more historical,” said Heru.

The chairman of the DKI Jakarta DPRD, Prasetyo Edi Marsudi, who was also present at the inauguration. He said the building was changed to commemorate the figure of Ali Sadikin or Bang Ali because of his services in developing DKI Jakarta into a modern metropolitan city. "This inauguration was carried out to commemorate the services of Ali Sadikin who has led DKI Jakarta for two terms," said Prasetyo. The event to ratify the name of the Block G Building of the City Hall of DKI as Graha Ali Sadikin was also attended by the son of Ali Sadikin, namely Boy Sadikin.
