Debat Perdana Capres, Panelis Prepare 18 Questions For Three Presidential Candidates

The inaugural debate for presidential candidates (candidates) was held by the KPU, Tuesday, December 12. Debates are considered important so that the public can know the vision and mission of candidates to their abilities.

"The inaugural debate for the presidential and vice presidential candidates for the 2024 General Election will be held on December 12 at 19.00 pm at the KPU office," said KPU member August Mellaz, Monday, December 11.

The inaugural debate of presidential candidates is 150 minutes long in 6 segments. There are 18 questions prepared by panelists for the candidates.

"PaNELis akan menyusun 18 pertanyaan, itu kan ada 6 segmen. Artinya ada 3 pertanyaan yang disiapkan untuk masing segmen. 1 segmen ada 3 pertanyaan," kata Ketua KPU Hasyim Asy'ari.

The first segment is the opening, reading of rules, conveying vision and mission and work programs.

The second and third segments are deepening the vision and mission and work programs where there will be questions and interactions between candidate pairs and other pairs of candidates.

Meanwhile, the fourth and fifth segments asked questions and responses, in this fourth session, the interaction process, response, and questions from the candidate pairs were also responded to by other pairs of candidates.

The last is the sixth segment which is the closing.
