Joget Prabowo Questioned, Hasto PDIP: Leaders Can't Absorb People's Aspirations

The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto assessed that the aspirations of the community cannot be absorbed by potential leaders who can only dance. They should be blusukan to hear people's problems.

This was conveyed by Hasto in response to the campaign style for presidential candidate number two, Prabowo Subianto. The current chairman of the Gerindra Party often dances on stage so that they are often called gemoys or echoes.

Initially, Hasto said that he had discussed Prabowo's campaign style with internal parties, especially at the branch level. From this discussion, what Prabowo did was considered different from President Jokowi.

"When I asked the management of the branches, I asked, 'how is Mr. Prabowo the goce?'. 'Wow, sir. That's to prove that he is not Mr. Jokowi. That's the answer from the PDI-P branch," said Hasto in a written statement quoted on Monday, December 11.

"So that (the joke) with a gemoy actually obscures that what Pak Jokowi is doing is indeed impossible for Pak Prabowo," he continued.

Hasto then compared it with the attitude of presidential candidate number three, Ganjar Pranowo who toured the city to the city. Because people's aspirations cannot be absorbed properly if the candidates can only dance.

"This is certainly different from Ganjar," claims Hasto.

"For those who do not understand the people's problems, they can only (don't, ed) get stuck. Dances. Yes, understanding people's problems must come because this is a character, leadership character built by the PDI-P, PPP, Perindo, and Hanura," he said.

Instead of being dizzy with this gimmick, Hasto even challenged Prabowo to go down to the community. Moreover, President Jokowi often does the same thing.

"If possible, please (please), Mr. Prabowo blusukan," he said.

As previously reported, Prabowo Subianto denied that he could only dance. Together with his partner, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, he said he had the greatest idea among other candidates.

"Many people say about me, why are presidential candidates dancing, they say presidential candidates have to give ideas. I emphasize our greatest ideas. Don't hesitate, KIM's ideas are great, patents," Prabowo said in his speech at the 9th Anniversary of the Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) at Jatidiri Stadium, Semarang, Saturday, December 9.
