December Survey, President Jokowi's Leadership Satisfaction Reaches 76 Percent

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Survey Institute (LSI) said the level of satisfaction of the Indonesian people with President Joko Widodo's performance increased 6 percent from 70 percent previously to 76 percent in the October-December 2023 period.LSI stated that 76 percent of respondents were satisfied with President Jokowi's performance in his leadership in the second period 2019-2024. "Based on the survey we conducted on December 3-5, 2023, 76 percent of the public stated that they were satisfied with President Jokowi's performance, while 16.8 percent said they were dissatisfied, 4.7 percent said they were very dissatisfied and 2.5 percent said they did not know or did not answer," said LSI Executive Director Djayadi Hanan in delivering a virtually organized LSI survey, Sunday, December 10. Survey was held during December 3-5, 2023 with 1,425 respondents who were made to the public in 34 provinces with a margin of survey error estimated at ~2.6% at the 95% confidence level, assuming simple random sampling.The public satisfaction indicator for President Jokowi's performance during his leadership was influenced by the provision of direct assistance to small people whose satisfaction reached 33.4 percent. "In addition, the public is satisfied with regard to infrastructure development indicators carried out by President Jokowi's cabinet as much as 24.9 percent, then related to real and good performance as much as 18.3, and the public is satisfied because they think President Jokowi is a populist and both as many as 10 percent," he added.

Djayadi admitted, the satisfaction rate with President Jokowi's performance has not actually exceeded the satisfaction of the community in July 2023 which was able to reach 82 percent. "But if you look at October 2023, satisfaction with President Jokowi's performance has increased again and has experienced a positive increase. However, this is a good thing for the continuity of President Jokowi's administration until the end of his term of office in 2024," he said.
