Batam Prosecutor's Office Establishes Monitoring Command Post, Riau Islands Residents Can Complain About Violations Of The 2024 Election

BATAM - Batam District Attorney (Kejari), Riau Islands (Kepri), established a monitoring post for the 2024 General Election. This step is to support democratic parties in the region so that it runs safely and smoothly.

Head of the Batam District Attorney's Office (Kajari) I Ketut Kasna Dedi said the post could be used to provide information or receive complaints from the public regarding the 2024 General Election.

"In addition to the election post, we are also actively providing information on how this election is held properly, including the neutrality of state officials," said Kasna in Batam, Friday, December 8, which was confiscated by Antara.

He added, in supporting a safe and peaceful election, his party will also oversee every election.

"Including the prosecutor's office, it will oversee the use of funds for organizing elections," he said.

Kasna also appealed to all legislative candidates (calleg), sympathizers, volunteers and the community to jointly create safe and peaceful elections.

"The Prosecutor's Office has also actively appealed to candidates, sympathizers, volunteers and the community, both through writing and socialization activities to the community," he said.

Kasub Intel Kejari Batam Arif Darmawan conveyed that in the context of the prosecutor's participation in simultaneous elections, his party also actively gave an appeal, especially regarding the neutrality of the state civil apparatus (ASN) in the 2024 democratic party.

He said the appeal was also carried out massively, including on social media channels belonging to the Batam Kejari.

"We call for this appeal for neutrality, such as symbols when taking pictures for ASNs who provide a code of numbers from their fingers that will be misinterpreted by the community," said Arif.
