YOGYYAKARTA - Secretary General of the Indonesian Solidarity Party Raja Juli Antoni met with the Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengkubuwono X at the Kepatihan complex, Yogyakarta City, to convey a request regarding the statement by PSI cadre Ade Armando regarding dynastic politics.

"I started the conversation by apologizing to him for the excitement in the past few days for Ade Armando's actions," said Raja Juli as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, December 7.

He explained that Sri Sultan followed the news about Ade Armando and also knew that Ade had apologized.

"He considers this problem to be resolved, don't be enlarged, just let it pass with time without the need for new statements and actions that will actually trigger new riots in the community," said Raja.

Previously, PPSI cadre Ade Armando expressed criticism to students, especially the University of Indonesia Student Executive Board (BEM) and Gajah Mada University, who held protests about dynastic politics.

Ade Armando said that BEM UI and BEM UGM were ironic because it was actually the Special Region of Yogyakarta that practiced dynastic politics. This was conveyed by Ade Armando through his X account @adearmando61.

Governor of the Special Region of Yogyakarta Sri Sultan Hamengku Buwono X responded to the statement by saying that the privileges of DIY, including in matters of filling the positions of governor and deputy governor, are protected by the constitution.

"DIY privilege has been recognized by law based on origin and history," said Sultan HB X at the Kepatihan complex, Yogyakarta, Monday (5/12).

This was emphasized by the Sultan in response to comments by social media activists as well as Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) politician Ade Armando who said DIY practiced dynastic politics because the governor and deputy governor were not elected by election, but through stipulation.

Meanwhile, PSI ChairmanKaesang Pangarep has also responded to a controversial statement from one of his cadres.

Kaesang even invited Ade Armando to leave PSIapabila not being able to follow the constitutional rules related to the Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY).

"We PSI parties obey the constitutional rules, especially regarding the Special Region of Yogyakarta," said Kaesang in Surabaya, East Java, Wednesday (6/13) night, responding to Ade Armando's statement about DIY's dynastic politics.

Therefore, he invited Ade Armando and other party cadres who could not follow the 1945 Constitution or the 1945 Constitution to leave the party.

"Bang Ade or other cadres who cannot obey, can just leave PSI," said the youngest son of President Joko Widodo.
