Situbondo Prosecutor's Office Throws Village Heads Into Prison Corruption Suspects Rp600 Million Village Fund

SITUBONDO - The Situbondo District Attorney, East Java, was sent to the village head's prison on suspicion of misappropriation of village funds (DD) and the allocation of village funds (ADD) for the 2020-2021 fiscal year with a state loss of around Rp600 million.

The head of the Situbondo District Attorney's Office, Ginanjar Cahya Permana, said that the investigator for the Situbondo 24, on Monday (4/12) after the Head of Peleyan Village, Panarukan District, Munakip, underwent a series of investigations.

"It is true that we have detained the suspect in the alleged corruption of village funds and the allocation of village funds," said Ginanjar when contacted in Situbondo, East Java, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 6.

Based on the results of the examination of witnesses and evidence, the suspect is strongly suspected of committing an unlawful act and cannot be held accountable for the financial management of ADD/DD 2020-202. So that special criminal investigators from the local prosecutor's office carry out detention for the next 20 days.

The suspect was charged with Article 2 paragraph (1) and Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption. As amended and supplemented by Law Number 20 of 31 of 1999 concerning Eradication of Criminal Acts of Corruption in conjunction with Article 64 Paragraph (1) of the Criminal Code.

"Initially, the government's internal supervisory apparatus (Apip) in this case the inspectorate conducted an audit and provided an opportunity for the person concerned to return his finances, but in the return effort there was no good faith (from the suspect) and then the collection was transferred to the prosecutor's office," said Ginanjar.

After the prosecutor's investigators conducted an investigation, the suspect was also still given the opportunity to return it, and until the investigation stage the village head also did not have good faith, so the prosecutor was forced to determine Munakip as a suspect and be detained.

"When we escalated it to the investigation, we were also given the opportunity, but there was still no good intention so we immediately detained the suspect," said Ginanjar.
