BOGOR - The Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) closed the doors of Bojonggede Station, Bogor Regency, West Java, gradually and diverted electric train passengers (KLR) to the flyover or skybridge connecting the station with the terminal.

"So that people will get used to getting off city transportation using skybridges or pedestrians or escalators, it will be an option for passengers," said Acting Head of BPTJ Suharto in Bojonggede as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 6.

Before the door to Bojonggede Station was completely closed, BPTJ together with the Bogor Regency Transportation Service (Dishub) imposed a scheduled closure.

The south door at Bojonggede Station on December 6-7, 2023 was closed from 09.00 WIB to 11.00 WIB and from 14.00 WIB to 16.00 WIB.

Then, on Friday (8/12) the south door at Bojonggede Station began to be completely closed from 04.00 WIB to 00.00 WIB.

BPTJ Secretary Zamrides explained that his party began testing the Bojonggede Skybridge on Tuesday (5/12). In this trial stage, KRL passengers began to be directed in and out of Bojonggede Station using a skybridge at Bojonggede Terminal.

"Later, from the end of the terminal to the end of the station, it will take about 4 minutes. Then it will be connected and arrive at the station, you can immediately take the KRL," he said.

Zamrides said that after going through the trial phase, the Bojonggede Skybridge would be inaugurated by the Minister of Transportation Budi Karya Sumadi on Sunday (10/12).

The skybridge project with a ceiling value of Rp. 16.5 billion is fully financed by the APBN through the budget of the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) in 2022. The Bogor Regency Government allocates a budget of around Rp. 4 billion for land acquisition.

The flyover connecting the C-type transport terminal with Bojonggede Station is 243 meters long and 3 meters wide. Each corner is equipped with an area like a hall.

The hall is equipped with an escalator facility, a slope for people with disabilities, toilets and prayer rooms. Then, specifically for the hall in the station section, there are additional facilities in the form of counter rooms and taping or recording gates.
