Bomb Doubles Make Pelita Air Surabaya-Jakarta Air Plane Flight Late

SURABAYA - General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Juanda International Airport, Sisyani Jaffar, said the Pelita Air IP 205 plane that flew late to Surabaya - Jakarta because one of the passengers joked about the bomb.

"We convey that the Pelita Air plane with flight number IP 205 to Jakarta experienced flight delays due to passengers jokingly carrying bombs," said Sisyani as quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 6.

He said that following up on the incident the plane was directed to an isolated parking area, for further investigation by joint Juanda Airport officers.

"The results of the examination did not find any such threats," he said.

The passenger concerned has now been arrested and taken by POM Lanudal Juanda.

"Due to this incident, there was no disruption to flight operations and it is still running normally," he said.
