Sultanate Of Kutai Asks Ganjar To Budget Funds For The Kingdom In Indonesia

SAMARINDA - Sultanate of Kutai Kartanegara asked presidential candidate number 3 Ganjar Pranowo to budget special funds for the kingdom or Sultanate in Indonesia if elected as president in the 2024 presidential election.

"With all due respect, we ask that when you lead this country to be issued by the Presidential Decree for the budget allocation for the legitimate Sultanates in the archipelago," said the representative of the Sultanate of Kutai Kartanegara Prince Notonegoro during Ganjar's visit to the Sultanate of Kutai Kertanegara Ing Martadipura on Jalan Monument Timur, Telggarong, Kutai Kartanegara Regency, East Kalimantan, as reported by ANTARA, Wednesday, December 6.

Thus, Notonegoro hopes that his party can maintain customs, customs, arts, and culture in each Sultanate in Indonesia.

Notonegoro also highlighted Japan, which can defend the basic values of their nation because it respects the empire. According to him, this is an important asset so that a nation can survive in industry 4.0.

"Kutai Kartanegara Regency, where the Sultanate of Kutai Kartanegara Ing Martadipura, the oldest kingdom in Indonesia, should not be forgotten," said Notonegoro.

Responding to these aspirations, Ganjar admitted that he agreed with Notonegoro's proposal.

"I agree. There are so many sultans, palaces, who are still alive. Some do exist, some are autonomous, quite independent; but there are others who need attention. If we love our culture, love our ancestors, we must help the law," said Ganjar.

The former governor of Central Java revealed that during a series of campaign visits for the 2024 presidential election since last November 28, he has also listened to similar aspirations in other areas he visited, including in West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).

Ganjar claimed his side to help the kingdom he had proven during his previous tenure as governor of Central Java.

"Actually, I have a practice. If I tell you earlier, at least some of the kingdoms in Central Java, when I was governor, we help regularly every year. So if today there is a voice that arises from the Sultanate of Kutai Kartanegara, it is actually similar to other sultanates, including other kingdoms. We communicate with many organizations and hope it is the same, then we will do it," said Ganjar.

During the event, a number of representatives of the Sultanate and the archipelago kingdom were also present, such as Sultan Kutai Kartanegara Sultan Aji Muhammad Arifin and King of Gowa KPH Andi Bau Malik Barammase Karaenta Tukajannangang Satrio Sasmito.
