The joint SAR team again found one of 11 victims who died due to flash floods and landslides that occurred in Simangulampe Village, Humbang Hasundutan Regency (Humbahas), North Sumatra (North Sumatra).
Head of the Medan City Search and Rescue Office (Basarnas) Budiono said the victim named Tiamin Boru Sinambela (78), a resident of Simangulampe Village, Bakti Raja District, was found at 10.0 WIB, Monday.
"The victim was found dead on the sidelines of the rocks during the transfer of material by the excavator. The victim was then immediately evacuated and taken to the puskesmas for further processing," said Budiono, Monday, December 4.
He said the joint SAR team continued to search for victims who were still missing after the flash floods and landslides.
"There are still 10 people missing in the victims of flash floods and landslides in Simangulempe Village who have not been found, namely Pintar Simanulang, Juni Silaban, Adriano Silaban, Lasroha Simanulang, Eva Purba, Kriston Siregar, Desman Sihombing, Op Gomgom, Br Banjar, and Br Simanjuntak," he said.
Previously, on the second day of the search operation after the natural disaster, the joint SAR Team also found one of 12 people who were declared missing 500 meters from the scene.
"At 11.25 WIB, Sunday, the joint team found one of the victims named Boru Lubis who died in a lake about 500 meters from the location of the flash flood," he said.
Based on information, flash floods and landslides that hit Simangulampe Village, Baktiraja, Humbang Husundutan Regency, occurred Friday night at around 21.30 WIB.
Budiono said that currently the search process is divided into four parts of the SAR Rescue Unit or SRU which involve relevant policy makers in this area.
"The search is divided into SRU I on land to comb around LKP focusing on the suspected points, SRU II Looking for victims using heavy equipment to open the Muara-Tipang road access, SRU III combing around Lake Toba using LCR belonging to BPBD Humbang Hasundutan, suspected of having victims, SRU IV Scouting on land around the shores of Lake Toba, but until this afternoon the victim has not been found," said Budiono.
In an effort to maximize search operations, he said, the joint team assisted by the Central Basarnas deployed 18 elite personnel, namely BSG (Basarnas Special Group).
"The BSG team has arrived at the location and we hope that the additional personnel who have these special qualifications can help accelerate the discovery of victims," he said.
