Accused Of Proposing Debate Format, TKN Prabowo-Gibran Calls The AMIN National Team Most Narratives

JAKARTA - Spokesperson for the Prabowo-Gibran National Campaign Team (TKN), Herzaky Mahendra Putra, responded to the AMIN national team who accused the number 2 pair camp of proposing a debate format only for exposure and deepening vision and mission. Herzaky assessed that the AMIN camp had too many narratives.

"Most of the narratives are representatives from other candidate pairs. Previously, they were busy touting the issue that the vice presidential debate was abolished, even though it was clear that the candidates and vice presidential candidates were paired with every momentum of the debate were AMIN candidate pair, not us," said Herzaky to reporters, Sunday, December 3.

The spokesman for the Democratic Party asked all parties, including the AMIN camp, to no longer play a lot of words that confuse the public.

"Don't be busy playing narratives or stringing words that confuse the public, let alone intimidating and suppressing KPU friends," he said.

Herzaky also mentioned that the parties that shocked the intervention of the 02 camp regarding the special debate of the vice presidential candidate were abolished, but in fact it was only an issue. He also emphasized that Prabowo-Gibran is ready to debate in any format that has been agreed upon.

"Please, if the other candidate pairs are busy disclosing lies, playing narratives or hoaxes, one thing is certain that candidate pair 02 is ready for debate. Debate presidential and vice presidential candidates, debate presidential candidates, or debate vice presidential candidates," he said.

Herzaky then invited all parties to follow the rules set by the KPU and prepare to contest.

"We just follow the KPU rules, how many times there have been a presidential candidate debate, how many times have the presidential and vice presidential candidates debate, and how many times have the vice presidential debate. The candidate pair 02 is ready to face it, please others also prepare themselves," he concluded.

Previously, the AMIN National Team Co-chaotic, Nihayatul Wafiroh, revealed the contents of the meeting with the KPU regarding the proposed presidential and vice presidential debate format in the 2024 presidential election. He said that the 02 camp, the Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming pair proposed that the debate format be only a vision-mission presentation.

"In the FGD on November 29, 2023 at the KPU, we recorded a proposal from the candidate pair team number 2 so that the debate format is only in the form of presentation and deepening of the vision-mission document. This means that the debate format only involves questions between candidate pairs and moderator and panelist, as well as eliminating objections between candidate pairs as a whole," said Nihayatul, in a written statement, Sunday, December 3.

"According to the candidate pair 2 team, the debate with the model in response to each other between candidate pairs will spend a lot of time without having the opportunity to explain the vision and mission of each candidate pair," he continued.
