Meeting Volunteers In Magetan, Kaesang PSI Throws Guyonan: I'm Kaesang Pangarep Not Gibran

Chairman of the DPP Indonesian Solidarity Party (PSI) Kaesang Pangarep met hundreds of volunteers during blusukan in Magetan Regency, East Java, Sunday, December 3. In the meeting with the volunteers entitled "Consolidation of Volunteers 3 Regencies", Kaesang greeted his volunteers with a little joke. "Let me introduce myself. I am Kaesang Pangarep, not Gibran," he said as quoted by Antara. This was conveyed by Kaesang because many residents thought he was Gibran Rakabuming Raka, his eldest brother who was the candidate for vice president number 2. "I'm Kaesang, coincidentally the younger brother of the vice presidential candidate Gibran," he said, greeted by laughter from the volunteers. On that occasion, Kaesang introduced his flagship PSI candidate, Muhammad Sholeh, who was running for the DPR RI candidate through the East Java VII Election Area. Kaesang asked Sholeh what he would do if he was elected to Senayan. Sholeh then said that he would try to oversee the realization of the Asset Confiscation Bill. "According to the integrity pact, we will oversee the Asset Confiscation Bill. It has not happened for 12 years, fertilizer prices, social inequality, economic inequality, are increasingly visible," said Sholeh. In his blusukan in Magetan, Kaesang took the time to visit the Plaosan Tourism Market. In the market, Kaesang was "invaded" by mothers who wanted to shake hands and take selfies with President Joko Widodo's youngest son. In fact, some market traders thought that Gibran was visiting the market. He said that he was Kaesang, not Gibran. While visiting the market, Kaesang bought a number of fruits, such as watermelons, oranges and salak, as well as buying sarongs. After visiting the market and meeting volunteers in Magetan, Kaesang then met the Chinese Citizens Community and the Religious Harmony Forum in Kediri City. Then, Kaesang shifted to Kediri Regency and stayed in touch with Gus Kautsar, Gus Toif, and Kiai Huda. For five days, from last Saturday to Thursday, Kaesang visited East Java in the context of the 2024 General Election campaign. There were 11 regencies/cities visited, including Lamongan, Tuban, Magetan, Banyuwangi, Malang, Jember, Pasuruan, and Surabaya. This blusukan is expected to reap the sympathy of the people of East Java to win the Prabowo-Gibran presidential and vice presidential candidate pair and vote PSI in the legislative elections. The 2024 election was attended by 18 political parties, including (according to the serial number) of the National Awakening Party, Gerindra Party, PDI-P, Golkar Party, Nasdem Party, Labor Party, Indonesian Gelora Party, Prosperous Justice Party, Nusantara Awakening Party, Hanura Party, Garuda Party, National Mandate Party, Crescent Star Party, Democrat Party, Indonesian Solidarity Party, Perindo Party, United Development Party, and Ummat Party.

In addition, the 2024 election was also attended by six local political parties, namely the Aceh Nanggroe Party, the Atjeh Beusaboh Tha'at and Taqwa Generation Party, the Aceh Darul Party, the Aceh Aceh Party, the Aceh Prosperous Justice Party, and the Acehnese People's Independent Solidity Party. The 2024 General Election vote to elect the president and vice president, members of the Indonesian House of Representatives, DPD RI, Provincial DPRD, and DPRD district/city 2024 will be held simultaneously on February 14, 2024.
